Mentorship in Dominican Republic (Spanish)

Mentors can help someone improve in their career, expand their network, and pick up new skills. Also, having a mentor can provide them an objective point of view on challenges and opportunities. These might help them develop new skills, improve their productivity, receive helpful criticism, stay inspired, and stay laser-focused on their goals. I'll concentrate on two mentorship examples found in the Dominican Republic's music The Dominican Republic has a growing interest in musical arts that began in the 15th  century. In the Dominican Republic, military bands at this period began to gain enormous popularity. These military bands would be directed by a teacher or instructors who would mentor trainees, just like conventional high school marching bands. By doing this, the mentors would be providing their mentees with the information and instruction they require to improve their expertise. The "Father of Dominican Art," Colonel Juan Bautista Alfonseca, was so named. By c...

In the video below it depicts men and women dancing together to Salsa music.Salsa music is hot, zesty and a bit fiery if you ask me the best is uplifting and you can’t help but to move your body to the beat.Have you ever heard the old saying "music is good for the soul" well this Cuban style of music can help you when you're feeling depressed, it might lift your spirits, give you vitality, and motivate you to express your creativity.    When they manage challenging life events like adjusting to unexpected adjustments at home or becoming adults, the youth can gain from mentorship.A good mentor is capable of giving guidance and criticism in an open but compassionate manner, offering encouragement and motivation, and fostering a sense of self-empowerment.  In Chapter 3 of the text Tour de Force, there were many examples of mentorship I will focus on two of them. 1. In Sint Maarten in the nineteenth century, string bands started to appear with some local variety all across the Caribbean.Enslaved domestic workers often played in these ensembles; their participation contributed to merging of the melodies and instruments of Europe with the rhythms and playing styles of the Caribbean region(Gangelhoff & LeGrand, 2020). A sign of mentorship that is shown from musical tradtions would be the how the previous generation would teach the yonger generation  how to play "string band" instruments and also how...

A person can advance in their job, build their network, and learn new skills from mentors. Having a mentor can also provide them an unbiased viewpoint on difficulties and chances. They may assist them in learning new abilities, enhancing their performance, giving them useful feedback, and keeping them motivated and laser-focused on their objectives. I'll concentrate on two mentorship examples found in Chapter 2 of the book Tour de Force. 1.The beguine is one of the most famous dance styles to originate from Martinique. This genrue haas its roots in Saint Pierre. Success depends on strong, long-lasting connections between mentors and mentees that are honest, helpful, and genuine.   In Chapter 1 of the text Tour de Force, there were many examples of mentorship I will focus on two of them. 1. In Saint Lucia there is a school of music that was established in 1987 to encourage the youth to be more active in culture via music. The school started a community program called "Manmay-la- Di-Wai.The school also has a collaborative relationship with the Venezuelan El Sistema program to provide more opportunity for mentorship in the community(Gangelhoff & LeGrand, 2020).Free music classes and practice time are offered by the program, usually after school and on weekends. Children at a local school In St. Lucia performing at the feast of Saint Cecilia established by St. Lucia Association of Musi...
